Mothra

 

Beside Godzilla, if there is another monster that TOHO has that is as famous as Godzilla, it would be the Queen of the Monsters, Mothra. Unlike Godzilla (My vision of Godzilla) where he was born of both a radioactive asteroid, and the atomic bombs of mankind. Mothra is different and older than Godzilla. People are not sure where she came from, possibly somewhere from the Carboniferous era. But it is not sure how a creature was able to survive from this period, but Mothra is a kaiju that has been prayed to for many years, seen as a goddess with great power and protected the lands for many years, a myth that has been lost over time. But it is said that if the world is in any danger, Mothra will come. If Godzilla is the executioner, then Mothra is the judge. Mothra’s design is inspired by many past Mothras, like the Heisei Mothra from “Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle for Earth” who has bird-like legs and feathers. The face is loosely based off Mothra Leo Eternal from “Rebirth of Mothra 3”, and her body is a mix of the Mothra Imago from 2003 & 2004 “Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.” & “Godzilla Final Wars”. But also the Mothra from the MonsterVerse, aka “Godzilla King of the Monsters’. Her front arms have pipers or stingers that come in and out on the arms. Her Larva form is based off her Larva form from “Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle for Earth”, “Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.”, & “Godzilla King of the Monsters”.
